MET Back Bay

Very impressed with this restaurant within walking distance of Copley Square. They served a quality soup which they have named the "Met French Onion Soup, cheese covered crouton" and it was very cheesy with a crunchy texture.  the broth was neither too salty nor to watery while it could have had more depth to the flavor.  The bread was slightly soft.  It was presented with a perfect appearance and attention to detail.  My overall rating of the soup is a 8 out of 10.

Chalet Suisse Aruba

This is probably the best soup I have every had.  It is rich and cheesy with a little bit of a parmesan crunch.  The bread is perfectly placed and soft.  The online menu doesn't provide much of a description.  Every time I visit the island this is a must go to restaurant with a dining experience different then almost everywhere else.  The same staff, year after year.   If a soup cold be rated a 10/10 this would be it.  Soup is priced on the menu at $10.50

French Onion Soup - ingredients not described on the menu

Upper Nyack Grill

Today's onion soup was from the Upper Nyack Grill.  It was one of the better ones in Rockland made with a Gruyere cheese and Parmesan Cheese (couldn't taste.)  While this is one of the better tasting soups in the county I would rate it a 6/10. Presentation was really good and it was served hot.  Soup was $6.00 and the restaurant was wonderful.
